Day 3

Describe your relationship with your parents.

Well to give you a little background on my family, I am the second of 4 kids...all girls! Poor dad! I grew up in Idaho in a few different houses, we lived most of my life out in the country with horses, pigs, chicken and dogs.

About my parents and me...we have an awesome relationship. My mom and I talk about every other day and we talk about everything. I am very grateful to my parents for all they have done for me. They have let me live with them when I was going through my divorce and wasn't on my feet yet. My dad and me have always been pretty close, I like to call myself the favorite child! We don't talk very often but when we do it is a very good talk. He worries about me cause I have issues with letting people walk all over me and he likes to watch out for me! Well that about all there is, I just want to tell me mom and dad that I love you guys!

Day 2

Describe 3 legitimate fears you have and explain how they became fears

1. Something will happen to my daughter. Nothing ever has, but I always worry about her cause I read to much news and about all the bad stuff that is a possibility. I still check to make sure she is breathing when I check on her at night and she is 4

2.   Drowning, I have a fear of water but it doesn't stop me from swimming and loving the water but I get nervous when I cant touch and start to freak out and forget how to swim. I don't know where is came from it just happened one summer when I was about 10.

3. I have a fear that something bad will happen to my family and I wont be there to help them. I live really far away from my family and miss them a lot. we have a really close family. I know where this one comes from. I lived in Colorado and my dad had a heart attack scare and I lived to far to just be there in no time and I would hate if something happened and I could be there.

Yumminess

So I tried a bourbon chicken recipe a few days ago and keep forgetting to share it. I really love this bourbon chicken back in my home town. I haven't had any good Chinese food since moving here, so I have to resort to making it at home!

A little adventure!

So today we needed a little adventure! We decided to walk around outside and collect sticks and bark and rocks. Then we came home and we got out our box of craft materials. We cut out a piece of cardboard and started making a house out of sticks. We used hot glue to put together the house and to attach and rocks and other decor. I let my little one design and I just glued it all together! She had a blast, and made quite a mess but it was worth it.

 This was the final creation!

So on another note I am going to post my first recipe! Its for Fruit cobbler, its a little different than most.

Fruit Cobbler
  Ingredients
  • any kind of pie filling....1 can
  • 1 cube of Butter
  • 1 box of cake batter any kind
 Directions
Preheat oven to 350. I used cherry pie filling, pour pie filling in round 9 in cake pan. The pour half a bag of cake batter on top....dry not prepared. Then cut the butter into squares and scatter on the top of the cake batter. Then pop in the oven and cook for 20 min. Take out and enjoy...I like to top with a little Vanilla Ice Cream!

I didn't take a pic at the end but this is what it will look like before you put in in the oven.

Have fun.....cooking and enjoying your families.

Fun date!

So update on my cooking fun......I made sweet and sour chicken with fried rice! I was so excited and it turned out good! I will have to post the recipe, as soon as I find it lol! Well on to the next topic, moving to a new base has its ups and downs. I mean the new places to visit are great but its hard when you know nobody and need a friend to talk to. I have been here for a little over a month, I have met a few girls that I like, I have really enjoyed hanging out with them. But here is a story for ya....how girls can be B****s, I went to a poker night with my hubby and took my little one with us cause they asked, I wasn't going to go but they said they wanted us there. So we got there and 2 people said hi to me and then we sat down and I tried to associate with the one other wife that was there....(she was prego)....so I asked how far along she was and then she turned looked at me and then turned around without saying a word. I tried again through the 3 hours we were there without a single person talking to me! I mean seriously who does that....I was a little frustrated, it was my first people I met when I got here! So I was a little hesitant to meet other people. But I am glad I tried again cause I found some really nice people. So lesson learned......don't give up just because of one person pushes you down.
